Went to 2 of the meets and found most of the members very Clicky and they would ignore you which was a shame as I was made very welcome on the forum.  They also have a habbit of black balling people they dont like or agree with.  I have seen this done a couple of times and find this most unsuitable for a forum club.  Its a shame as they could have a alot going for them if they weren't so rude.Overall: Stay away

The best

Well i was a member of a local clud and it wasnt for me after just 1 year, then i found the dbs and have been here from the begining. Its the best club ive been camping with and we have loads of realy good laughs. All newbies are welcome and we all try to introduce ourselves but its not always down to the members the newbies need to make an effort also. All i can say is we are a great family based club and we all know how to have a laugh. Pop on and say hi All welcome ;)

Brilliant and friendly club great people to camp with very funny forum couldn't wish to camp with a more friendly bunchmeets can be awkward for newbies as there are so many of us ...but I'm working on that  :)anyone who disagrees ...will be shot  or at least given a wedgey :)

The place to be, if your close to the sea!!

Before joining DBS, I had heard of in-breading in country folk but never experienced it first hand until my first meeting, I am now the proud Aunty, brother and second cousin to Nomates (I am just kidding, Im also his surrogate mother!).

Seriously though, what a great bunch of people make up DBS, I have only been a member for 6 months and although I have not had the pleasure of camping with them yet,  or indeed meeting some of the members, I have found everyone to be very friendly, massively helpful, very very knowledgeable and skilful in the art of restorations.  You really couldnâ��t wish to meet a nicer bunch of people.   I for one, feel that I have made some new and close friends (perhaps not all the members would agree with me there!!) lol

Yes I stood on the sidelines for a while at the first meeting I attended, but I went up and introduced myself and talked to people, hell it wasn�t that difficult and we all share the same passion for VWs (well apart from Olly, but that is another story).

I would urge the person that posted the negative review to get in contact with me and have a chat.

Personally (as a relative newbie) I can highly recommend the club to anyone wishing to actively participate.

'THE' WSM VW CLUB

DBS has been going for just over 2 years now and is a great club to be a part of. No commitee and no politics means that everybody can contribute as much or as little as they like.I have made some good friends through DBS and look forward to each meet, especially the month end meets at the Full Quart that are always well attended.It can be a little intimidating for new members who come along, but we don't bite and have had a fair few new members on the forum who have come along to the meeting and introduced themsleves.New members are welcome both on the forum and at the meets, if you are bit shy then feel free to get in touch before the meet so we know to look out for you as we meet in a pub and it isn't always obvious if people are part of us or just looking on in horror!!!

Great club, great site. friendliest people ive met and great camping club. All love the kids. Cant say know more than that great place to be ;)
